How do I make one of the icons my buddy icon?
With AIM open, just click it then hit OK. If you are an AOL member, you cannot use the icons, since AOL will not let you use custom buddy icons. You have to download AIM in order to have a homemade buddy icon.

Where did you get your pictures?
Most of the pictures, like for the buddy icons and picture gallery, were captured with Windows DVD Player, but some I used from Nick.com's old Spongebob section.

Can I use your pictures on my site?
Yes, as long as you do not direct-link to them. Save them to your own computer and upload them to your website directory. A link back to my site would be nice. =)

Why do you have everything in zip files? / Why can't I just take a pic without downloading stuff?
I used to have all of my images available for viewing, but too many visitors directly linked to them.

Why don't you get a forum for your site?
Mostly because I don't have the time to manage one. Other sites in my links section do have message boards where you may interact with other fans and find out information about the show.

Can you send me an e-mail when you update?
Sorry, I don't have enough time to send out individual e-mails when I update, but I try to add new content or information at least once per week.

Where did you get the episode transcripts?
I know of no other way to obtain them except typing them yourself, sorry. Site contributors and I typed them ourselves especially for this site.

How did you make this website?
I use Notepad to write my pages in HTML (HyperText Markup Language) code, which I learned through Lissa Explains It All, an excellent HTML help site. I don't use any pagebuilders or HTML-writing programs. This site is hosted by the University of Michigan - thanks to them for granting me a diploma from the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (and giving me some web space too). =) =)

How long did it take you to make the site?
I'm guessing that it took me about two hours to put together the very first version of the page, which was just show info, character bios, and links. I've added the rest of the content bit by bit. Since then, I've had four different layouts, and it has taken around three hours to put each layout together, including writing all the HTML code. Many visitors seem to think I did this all in one sitting, which is definitely not the case.

I heard that Spongebob was going to get cancelled because a little kid went into the ocean to look for him / his pineapple. Is that true?
I don't know who started this rumor, but it is not true - read this article from Snopes.com.

Who performed the "Sweet Victory" song from the episode Band Geeks?
David Glen Eisley, formerly of the band Giuffria, is the artist. Check out the Sweet Victory video clip at his site. On Spongebob Squarepants The Yellow Album, you can find a version of the song that is a little bit longer than the version played in the episode.

What's the name of the ukelele song / Who performed the song that plays during the closing credits?
I'm afraid I don't know the title or artist(s). Under the music section of the show's credits, though, Sage Guyton, Jeremy Wakefield, and The Blue Hawaiians have all been mentioned. My guess is it's one or more of them.

How old is Spongebob?
This is never mentioned out loud in the show, but it's just a little trivial fact that people yearn to know. Spongebob was born on July 14 of some year ending in "86", according to his driver's license, which you can see in the eps Sleepy Time and No Free Rides. This screenshot is from No Free Rides: Also, in the movie, we learn that Spongebob has earned 374 consecutive Employee of the Month awards, so judging by that, he has to have worked at the Krusty Krab for at least 31 years (this is assuming that a Bikini Bottom month, year, or other unit of time is the same as on good old dry land, that is, the Gregorian calendar). However, Stephen Hillenburg considers Spongebob and Patrick to be adult characters (for example, obviously they're old enough to live on their own), so they're actually ageless in the show. It is just a cartoon, after all. =)

I thought Bubblestand / Ripped Pants came before Help Wanted / Reef Blower / Tea At the Treedome.
The pilot episode (Help Wanted et.al) aired on May 1, 1999 after the Kids' Choice Awards. Bubblestand et.al didn't air until July 17. Also, judging by the chronological progression of episodes, we have to first meet Sandy in Tea At the Treedome before we see her in Ripped Pants, so logically, Tea At the Treedome has to come first.

Why is Help Wanted (the pilot episode) missing from The "Complete" 1st Season DVD set?
I'm not positive on this, but I believe it has to do with copyright issues for Tiny Tim's song "Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight". If a show worker could e-mail me in order to confirm or deny this, that'd rule. The episode, however, is available on the special features of The Complete 3rd Season DVD set.

Why are The Bully and Just One Bite missing from The Complete 2nd Season DVD set, and why does that set include Welcome to the Chum Bucket, Frankendoodle, Graveyard Shift, and Krusty Love?
The episodes on the Season 2 DVD are #21 through #40 in production number, which is not necessarily the order they aired on Nick. In the back of the book Spongebob Exposed by Steven Banks is a really nice episode list with descriptions. Welcome to the Chum Bucket / Frankendoodle are #34, and Graveyard Shift / Krusty Love are #36, which is how they are on the 2nd season set, and The Bully / Just One Bite are #43, which is why they're on the 3rd season set.

Does Tom Kenny still do the voice of Spongebob in the fourth season?
Yes, he does, but many fans seem to have noticed a change in how he sounds.

Who is your favorite character?
Scooter. I loved him even before he had a name. =D (We finally learned his nomen in House Party.)

What is your favorite episode?
Jellyfish Jam, which was also the first ep I saw. If I may stretch the question a bit, the movie is one of my favorites as well.

Which character do you most relate to?
I'd have to select Gary because we're both intelligent and modest.

What's your favorite Spongebob song?
I love the Spanish theme song and "Goofy Goober Rock" from the movie. Check out my lyrics section for the Spanish and English words.

Are you the real #1 fan of Spongebob?
No - Patchy the Pirate is. That also makes him the president of the Spongebob Squarepants Fan Club. =)

random fact: One of Spongebob's most prized possessions is his jellyfishing net, named Ol' Reliable (this info is from Nature Pants, probably the episode I've seen more than any other). =)
